Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival and welcome Dinner

Benvenuti in Italia! Upon your arrival at Rome Fiumicion Airport, our private driver will transfer you to your accommodation, a Farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany to begin the journey. After check-in, you’ll take a walk in the beautiful grounds of the Farmhouse. We will toast the first evening with wood-oven Pizza and wine in the nearby town of Camucia.

DAY 2: Cortona and Wine Tasting.

This morning, after breakfast, we will drive to the charming town of Cortona, where “Under the Tuscan Sun” was filmed. Once inside the historic center you will have some free time to explore and shop on your own. We will enjoy a ragional-inspired lunch in a Trattoria well-known among locals. We will return to our Farmhouse for a Vineyard tour with wine tasting and appetizers.

DAY 3: Montepulciano and Cheese Tasting

This morning, after breakfast, we will drive to Montepulciano, a town of elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares all leading towards streets that display a variety of Montepulciano wine inside cellars of ground floor buildings. After a Tuscan lunch we will drive to a cheese farm for a tasting of five types of pecorino cheese, accompanied by Rosso of Montepulciano wine.

DAY 4: Pienza

Today we will visit Pienza that balances architectural beauty with sweeping vistas of green valley. We will take a walk along the town’s “passeggiata” lane. Afterwards we will continue to a nearby organic mill that produces exeptional flours, pastas and breads. Here we will enjoy a tour of the mill followed by a delicious organic lunch served in the mill’s restaurant. We will return to Pienza for some afternoon shopping and the Italian aperitivo

DAY 5: Farmhouse

This morning, after breakfast, we will roll our sleeves for an invigorating hands-on cooking class by the farmhouse professional chef. Using fresh ingredients from their own farm, you’ll create a traditional Tuscan lunch. Throughout the class, you can take notes and capture the cooking process on camera, ensuring you remember each step of the recipes. Relax and enjoy the meal you’ve prepared, paired with a tasting of the finest wines and a selection of local products.

The evening will wrap up with a special Astro Night under the stars, in the company of a professional astronomer equipped with a telescope and laser point. The lights of the garden are turned off to facilitate the vision of the celestial.

DAY 6: Orvieto

This morning, after breakfast, we travel to the stunning hill town of Orvieto, perched on a scenic bluff that overlooks the Val d’Chiana. We will explore the winding avenues of the town, the magnificent Duomo with its exceptional frescoes and the many ceramic shops. We will visit a ceramic workshop for a tour and a hands-on demonstration of the ceramic techniques. We will enjoy lunch and wine in one of the Osterias of the town.

DAY 7: Olive Oil Tasting Tour

Today we will meet our friend Bianca, the amazing owner of an Olive Oil Farm where we will enjoy different olive oils with assorted cured meat, cheese and wine.

In the afternoon, we are back to the Farmhouse. The evening will end with a special, farewell dinner.

DAY 8: Departure

Early morning departure for the airport.
